Next Waypoint Media

Exploring fandom, creativity and culture through stories that connect and inspire.

At Next Waypoint Media, I explore the intersection of fandom and creativity, telling stories about how the things we love shape us, push us to create, and blur the line between fan and artist.

I dive deep into fandom culture, examining how artists and fans influence one another and uncovering the evolution from passionate audience to active creator - all with humour, curiosity, and a fair bit of chaos.

While I’m actively building a community around these stories, my goal is to platform the voices of fans and creators who are shaping culture from the ground up. My long-term vision is to produce immersive documentaries that showcase the fan-to-creator journey, starting with a docuseries on K-pop’s global impact and the unique relationship between fans and idols.

About

I never set out to build a media platform. I just wanted to understand how one K-pop idol could challenge everything I knew about myself. What started as a search for answers grew into something much bigger - Next Waypoint Media.

My Bias

bias noun (K-pop)
bi·as |ˈbī-əs
A K-pop fan’s favourite member in a group, often chosen based on admiration, personality or talent.

K-pop never particularly interested me. And then one video clip ruined it all!

I’m still figuring out what happened, but I wasn’t watching a TikTok anymore. I was witnessing an idol perform with such power and stage charisma that I can still pinpoint the moment I felt something snap in my brain. What followed was a complete shift in the trajectory of my life, and in its wake came the foundation upon which Next Waypoint Media is being built.

So who is this person? Well, that’s between me and my alt-accounts!

Jokes aside, keeping my bias to myself keeps the story focused where it belongs. He was a catalyst, a song breathing life into my dreams. But Next Waypoint Media isn’t about them. It’s about everything that came after.

People love to speculate though, so take your best guess! But I also invite you to think about why you connect so deeply with the artists and fandoms YOU love.

After all, that’s where all of our stories wait for us: to turn passion into purpose, and where even a single moment can shift the course of everything.
